QOD (Question of the day): What is a life well-lived?

What is a life well-lived? This article published in Psychology Today, shared 20 quotes as possible answers to this question. ~ I was disappointed. You would think psychologists or psychiatrists who study the human mind and behavior would be able to give you a plain direct answer. I found another quote on Tumblr and I agree with this quote more than all of those other quotes in the article. “A life well-lived is something to celebrate.” (rosemarydanielis.com ) It's a nice quote. But it sort of still doesn't answer the question. How would you answer the question: What is a life well-lived? I woke up this morning in kind of a sober and philosophical mood. I'm asking other people because I don't know the answer to this question. All I know is that I'm past 50 years and I have already lost friends and family. My number will eventually be called and I was kind of hoping to know the answer by then. Care to share your thoughts?

Interesting question. A life well lived is a life lived according to your dreams, without constrictions, enjoying every minute and everything you did.

that is a great question - one of those let me think questions. For me, the answer is simply, that you, while living, provide others with hope!

In my thoughts, a well lived life is one of peace. It is so valuable. Health is too, but health goes downhill fast with no peace.
