I think the universe is trying to tell me something.

I have been an android person ever since the first android device came out in o8. In the last month however, I've had slowly moving to Apple products again. Why? Because a couple months ago, we bought a new van, but the van doesn't fully support Aindroid. So, I bought my very first Iphone, the 12, mini. I knew using my Galxey buds and Watch active 2, would come with compermises. And, I'm okay with it. iOS has an older version of Samsung health, and it syncs pretty fluidly with my Samsung account. So, I can do chellenges, and things like that. I just can't use voice commands for.... anything. Fine... Siri works pretty decently as a voice assistant for the little I do with it. But, the one thing I can't get over, is my band breaking.... again. Yes, my watch band on my galxay watch broke. While I was out playing Pokemon go. Thankfully, I was stopped and able to slide it off my wrist, and slip it in my pocket. I also found the old band from a previous samsung watch. So I replaced it. But.... I can't have it break again. So, I went and bought an Apple watch. I guess it's a good thing I bought that portable charging brick, that has a usb-c port. Otherwise I think I would be screwed.

To be fair, with my disabilities, I like to be hands-free as possible. I like the idea of having the ability to tap my wrist, if all I want to do is look at the time, and not worry about weather or not I'm going to drop my phone to pull it out to look. I like the idea of being able to read and dismiss notifications, (and with compatible devices, ) respond to messages with my voice. Hence why I want a watch that works, and one that's not going to snap on me out of no where, like mine did today.

You should ask Siri if your new watch will break. I like doing that to those AI things. When will my computer break. They become a magic 8 ball, its not looking good.

@crossbones27 Yep. Sometimes telling them to get lost, (or any veration of such) yields some hilerious results.

I'm starting to love mine, too. BothiPhone and Apple Watch. However, I think I might've put one of the bands on backwards.

I don't understand why they don't make those watch bands more durable. I've heard different people say, their wrist band broke. That tells me, those bands aren't made very strong! Even a wide band of woven material would be much better.

I agree. this band feels kinda like rubber but not... silicon I think? I also don't see how my band could've broke, either. as far as I know, none of that part of my arm touches my chair when I'm moving.

@kaylachan They make things so they need to be replaced soon, which isn't right.

I still love Android, and by buying my Iphone from apple directly, I can have the best of both worlds. I don't have to trade in my android.

I've only had it two days, though I was afraid I put one of the bands on upside down. Turns out I did it right, but snap bands are hard for me to get on and off. Since Apple has a wide arey of bands, I plan on getting a few in the future. Hoping to get my hands on a loop band maybe.

Why wear a watch when your phone has the time???? Technology is supposed to make life simplier!

For several reasons, actually. One watches do make it a bit more convienent. A smart watch does this in several ways. Not only does it allow me to check the time at a glance, but I can read and dismiss notifications when I don't have or can't pull out my phone. With my disabilities, sometimes pulling out my phone is harder on me.Less chance I'll accidently drop it. It also saves battery to check my wrist for notifications and the like instead of my phone.

I have felt that Apple is expensive, so I stuck with Android. Mind you, I still use my Samsung S6 and long may it continue!

I was able to buy a pack of extra bands for my Samsung watch on Amazon. I hope you enjoy the new watch and don't have too much trouble adjusting to the Apple format.

Lucky you found a band from the previous watch as they are way to costly replacing.
