Garland Police officers Matthew F and his partner Chris Hataway will simply that they were just doing their duty to serve and protect the citizens in their city when they responded to a driver who passed out behind the wheel of his auto that was on fire after a traffic accident on Wednesday evening. By the time that both officers saw that the auto accident victim was out cold from the impact of the auto accident, they knew that they had to act fast to get the driver out of the auto as fast as possible since there was smoke inside of the auto and it would be a matter of time before the auto would explode. Both officers pulled the unconscious driver out of the passenger side window and away from the danger zone moments before the auto went up in flames. Both police officers were checked out by medical personnel and released. The unconscious driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition as well as his name are not known at this time. Both officers Hataway and F*hs will be rewarded by their police chief in a future date for their act of bravery of saving a life in the line of duty.
