Hello to another lovely autumn day! And hello you you! And hello to another song with “someday” in the title. Here’s another song that you may not know but you won’t really be surprised to see here. #3: Someday My Ship Will Sail - Emmylou Harris Although I had every Emmylou Harris album for a good 15 years, I have to say I found her output pretty uneven. The things I loved, I really loved. The other albums could have a great song or two, or be downright disappointing (such as Cimarron). To this day, my favorite albums of her remain the acoustic dynamos of Roses in the Snow and Angel Band, the latter being a collection of bluegrass and country gospel songs. (You may remember the album’s title song, performed by the Stanley Brothers, in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou.) This is from that 1987 gospel gem.
