The Sad Loss Of Pets....Part 1 (cat)

Before I start (and I will say this in Part 2), just a warning that this is a story of an animal passing. I don't wish anyone to continue reading if this subject is too much. I will completely understand you moving on from this Discussion. Also, I loved these pets very much but they are not mine. A good friend of mine has been having a rough time with his beloved pets lately. Well to be honest, the whole family has had many misfortunes with pets from what I understand. But will only speak of what has happened this year. Back in August, my friend sadly lost his beautiful cat (Soxxs). I first met Soxxs as a kitten years ago. What happened was, Soxxs was accidentally in a closed room with my friend's sister's big dog. And that big dog....attacked Soxxs to put it lightly. My friend was and still is devastated and in shock as he was the one who found Soxxs. Soon as I heard, I rang him to talk with him. When we hung up I felt I wanted to do something. I decided to do something as tribute to Soxxs. So I went online, picked out merchandise where I could put photos of Soxxs on. When I saw my friend next, I gave it all to him and he starting crying. This was the very first time I saw him cry and naturally, I cried and just hugged him. It was really sad. And sadly, I learned just last week, that another cat of his, which I THINK was a gift for him to cheer him up, also got attacked by his sister's dog. This family adores and cherishes animals but too many mishaps occur. Love you Soxxs. Part 2: ****Photo is mine. Of the merchandise I got for my friend. I have covered my friend's face but as you can see, it's magnets, deck of cards, a greeting card which I wrote in, mug and keyring****
Before I start (like I said in Part 1), just a warning that this is a story of an animal passing. I don't wish anyone to continue reading if this subject is too...

This is horrible to read. Something terrible went wrong. Dogs and cats should not attack each other. Sorry for his loss.

@CarolDM Thank you Carol. Yeah it's....yeah been very sad and quite frustrating in general with all these mishaps. They want to save and rescue animals but some times the outcome isn't what they wanted. All I can say is, I love animals very much too. But I never want to be in the position of looking after so many. So many negative things can happen.

@VivaLaDani13 I think one animal is enough. Unless you're on a ranch and have horses, chickens, etc.

I cannot believe that this happened. All dogs and cats who lived under the same roof always lived in peace. I agree with JJ that dog has been not raised correctly.

@VivaLaDani13 Do not worry for the late reply, they had to know if the dog was dangerous for the cat.

@LadyDuck I think about that sometimes and try to shake off the thought because I get angry. And to think, this same dog has been around a baby too. The baby (she's about 2 now) used to lay on the floor or on those baby bouncer chairs on the floor while the dog walked around her. I don't know if it's likely this dog would attack a little baby but I wouldn't even take the chance!

@TheHorse No worries for the question. I honestly do not know the answer. All I know is for some reason this dog has (from what I know) attacked and killed two cats. Why this dog is allowed to roam around the house unsupervised and even come so close to their baby is beyond me. Beautiful dog but I wouldn't trust him to be around any other animals or a baby.

That's sad the dog attacked and killed the cat. I'm glad you got him some merchandise to remember his cat.

Soxxs was such a beautiful cat. That was nice of you to get her the stuff with the picture of her cat on them.

@VivaLaDani13 Of course, I miss my horse every day. But I think I've reached the "acceptance" stage of grieving.

@TheHorse I agree with you. I worry every single time my cat needs to go out. I never want another cat again, it's just too much stress. But I hope to have Leilah (my cat) with me for a very long time.
