A Busy But Fun Weekend.

I’ve been meaning to post this one for a few days, but once again, my routine has been crummy this month. But oh well, I’m posting it now. Anywho, I had a busy but fun weekend (Oct. 15th-17th). Friday: I worked on a few short writing orders before going shopping with my family. We were picking up last-minute Halloween party stuff, as well as a few things for the house. Once we got home, I watched WWE Smackdown and Blue Bloods while eating some soup (my stomach had been bothering me). After Blue Bloods, I settled into bed and watched Lady Bird (one of my favorite movies) before falling asleep. Saturday: I went to the Dollar Tree with my best friend to pick up a few more last-minute things (two unicorn headbands and beaded necklaces, as you can see in the picture). I thought they’d be cute for the Halloween photo booth props, even though I wound up wearing a unicorn headband for most of the party lol. I kept the unicorn headbands and the pink beaded necklace, and I let the kiddos have the rest of the beaded necklaces. Anyway, we headed to the family Halloween party after the Dollar Tree. It was nice to just chat, laugh, eat, snap pictures, etc. I think it’s something we all needed after the year we’ve had, especially the kiddos. After the party, my best friend and I went to Spirit Halloween and Target, and then I was dropped off at my house. I ate some cucumbers and Ranch dip and lounged until bedtime, as I had to be up earlier than usual the next morning. Sunday: My older sister, 17yr old niece and I had appointments with a family friend at the salon where she works. My niece was getting her hair bleached and toned and I was getting my hair cut. In addition, my sister and I were having trial hairstyles done for our younger sister’s wedding. It took a few hours, but it was just us for the most part, so we were able to catch up and whatnot. It went well, and I’m so glad I was finally able to get my haircut. I have thick, wavy hair, so it’s a pain to maintain when it gets longer. It’s up to my shoulders now (I can still pull it back, but it’s not long enough to annoy me). After our hair appointments, we stopped by Royal Farms (a local convenience store) because I wanted a hot chocolate, and then we came home. I ate lunch and took a nap since it was an early day for me, and then I spent the rest of the night lounging and watching Halloween 4, a few episodes of the Babysitters Club season 2 (on Netflix) and then the original Carrie once my 20yr old niece got off work. All and all, it wasn’t a bad weekend. This weekend and next weekend are going to be busy as well; the bachelorette activities are this weekend and my sister’s wedding and Halloween are next weekend. I need to catch up on some stuff around the house, so I may need to use the first weekend in November to get things done. Alrighty, I’m finished with this post. Sorry it was long but ah well. Lol.
