Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a very windy and sunny weather. The wind is so strong that you can think of a storm coming but no rain here only strong wind. I still had my morning walk and dancing exercise. I was not able to visit mylot this past few days because I had a lot of things to do with my work. Anyways, I am free now. Today, I will be preparing this Chicken soup with Papaya. It is a simple one to prepare. First, you have to fry the garlic, onion and ginger. Then, put the Chicken with Green Papaya, Sprinkle it with salt or a teaspoon of fish sauce. Let it boil until the papaya is soft. Then, put some cayenne pepper leaves (remove the stem). Let it boil for a minute. Then serve How about you my dear mylotters? Have you tried this kind of Chicken soup with Green Papaya? What are you having for today? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

I haven't had soup with papaya before. It would be interesting to try this-- with a vegetarian substitute for the chicken, though, of course. I'm thinking that seitan might work well in this.

@m_audrey6788 The texture would be similar, and the flavor would be in the same ballpark. It would be changed but in only a very slight way-- probably less so than if someone opted to substitute another type of poultry for the chicken.

Is this a Filipino soup? My Phil friends have talked about cooking with green papaya (or was it mango), but I've never tried that. Sounds delicious!

Yes I tried it and it's delicious. We used native chicken for this recipe and additional leaves, the malungay leaves. Try it if you have malungay in your area.
