The good Bishop, Arwin Curchwold, was giving a talk on life, and its meaning.
Here is a transcript of his talk:
"I was thinking, this morning, as I lay in bed that life is like a book, that we can either read, or write."
"We focus on the spot on the page where we are up to in our reading, or writing, our present moment, and we cannot go ahead, nor can we easily remember what has passed before either, the now hidden pages fade away fast."
"The pages fade fast in our mortal memory, but they are forever pasted too in your soul records, your book of life, of which, God has his own copy of too."
"We might forget the past, but we need to account for all of our actions in that past at some time, within our life, or later, when we go through things with God, in the other worlds."
"Life, in a nutshell, is really just all about sorting out the experiences of love, from those of non-love."
"To do this requires an accurate discernment of the loneliness of non-love that reflects in you, from the recreation of any new ability, that then penetrates the thinking to carry you past these thoughts onto the next step of your progression up the consciousness scale of love."
"This is the value of trying new things, and of doing them from your heart of love, not from your mind of wants, and desires."
"In the book of life, which page affects you the most?"
"Well, I would say the page that you are on right now."
"You can start rewriting your life from today, and so help you heal anything from your past, as well as making your future a better one for you then too."
"Think on these things, during the coming week."
And that was the end of his sermon, for that Sunday's service.

I do agree with the Bishop that we write our own life's story.

Yes, we are always writing a new page in our life story, although, some of us write the same page multiple times, if they do not pay attention to their lives, and the way that it is going for themselves.
We need to read what we write, and ascertain that we are going in the right direction.

@Nakitakona l think that the whole journey of life is about our increasing our awareness of how we are travelling in our lives.
Self assessment is very important, and should not be overlooked.

@innertalks That's right. But most people aren't aware that they're doing that. They mean it literally.

Yes, faded pages on a loved one's book is also sad for us too.
But, I remember the dually composed pages from my Mum's book, and my book too.
Perhaps, we can add a page, or two, from someone else's book to our book sometimes too, without breaching the copyright rules of God....lol...

That's especially a good idea, if like me, you have been rather quiet, and sedate, reserved, up until now.
I try to obtain my enthusiasm from something, because it is hard for me to find it from within.
I should just decide to do things more enthusiastically like you are doing, adding enthusiasm to whatever I am doing. That is a great idea.

That says, in a nutshell, to refocus on those that matter away from the hazy past and worrying about the future. Adding love in abundant measure will oil the process.
There is always meaning in life but we tend to get lost in the mundane. We need to enjoy the moments but the pursuit should be with a view of what we carry forward at the end of the journey. That makes it simple.

Yes, thanks, siva.
Everything we do here, we should have a future eye attached to too, and so think about our action's possible consequences before we jump in and take the actual action, so planned.

@Shiva49 Yes, good deeds are always good deeds, and last forever.
Bad deeds are sometimes not forgotten easily either, especially, when they leave us with a bad taste in our mouth.

@innertalks Yes, when our actions are beneficial to others and the overall well-being, then they last even after our physical departure from here.
We think of a few with fond remembrance and others with good riddance! So that is a nice guide.
