Halloween

Halloweenn is coming up next weekend and many have been enjoying putting out their spooky decorations to mark the holiday. I haven't done any Halloween decorating since moving to this house out in the country. There just isn't any traffic or trick or treating done around here so not going to waste my time and energy.
I did sit down earlier today and address the envelopes and write little messages inside the cards that I picked up for my younger grandkids. I know they will all have a great time out trick or treating or attending parties. I know one of my daughters will be sending her kids to a party at Church. The other daughter with kids only lets her children go on their short little country lane. They know all the neighbors and it is only ten if that many that lives on that lane.
Now I just need to remember to go put these in the mailbox so they will receive them in the mail before Halloween!

My sister did give my nephew's bus driver and her assistant some cards as a thank you note last Friday.

No one to mail cards to and the house I live in does not get decorated but someone made a very nice graveyard about two blocks away, Nothing much else around her in decorating,

our celebration now is mostly passing out candy and seeing the cute costumes.

@DocAndersen My mother's neighborhood when through phases like that. Mostly seniors and then so many would sell and young families moved in. It is about half and half now.

@kareng i would say the vast majority of kids in our area now, are nearly high school graduation or already in college, so we don't get many kids anymore.

I don’t have any truck or treaters in my neighborhood, so I stopped putting out the tons of decorations I’ve built up over the years. I did hang up an inflatable Mickey Mouse vampire bat decoration for my daughter, but that’s about it.

We don't have any little ones in our family except for distant cousins. We don't get any trick or treaters either.
