Rain is Out of Here

We only have a fine mist left from the rain that hit this afternoon. We had a very steady and hard fall of rain for the first hour along with some thunder and lightening. It then slowed down a bit and rained for a good solid 4-5 hours.
I was glad that it finally stopped. We needed the rain so no complaints. It was very dry and the big goofy dog was kicking up dirt and that was a bit annoying. That won't be happening tomorrow.
It is a quiet evening here and we are just enjoying a few movies on television. I think that will be the jest of the evening: tevelvision and myLotting for me!!

I woke up to a very sunny day but after a few hours it turned gloomy. That doesn’t surprise me anymore. We are having the La Niña phenomenon here so i do expect more rainy days.

@kareng I asked because my sister told me she was shocked when it rained in California and the people got afraid. For one who came from an archipelago frequently visited by strong storms, the rain, she said, was a drizzle.
Of course, the typhoon you had was pretty intense as lightnings flashed and thunder rumbled. Though I am used to that, I have never ever experienced a tornado. I believe I would be totally afraid of a tornado.
We do have mini twisters and I can see how powerful the whirl of the wind is.

so far rain has hit us at night, other than a couple of days ago when it was late afternoon. hopefully it stays that way!
