Wrong Button

I have been working on my laptop in bed a lot, I just felt more comfortable there and I also just didn't want to clean up the mess around my desk after I had rearranged my room. But my back had been hurting, so I knew it was time to go over to my desk. Since I use a laptop, it goes on the top part of my desk and I connect a keyboard to it, so I don't have to reach up high for my laptop. I wanted to take a screenshot of something I was working on, and I thought the keys would be the same on my keyboard as they are on my laptop. No Nope Not at all. When I press the print screen button my laptop I need to use the "fn" key to make it work. The Fn key is for keys on your keyboard that have more than one function. I did that on my keyboard and well, the button that is secondary on it is THE SYSTEM RESTART My laptop just shut down and I'm like...Oh... oh no. That...Yeah that was not right. So yeah, I mean my laptop probably needed to be restarted, but come on, I was in the middle of working! Thank goodness I saved my work before that happened. So now I know...never fn press that button...ha...haha

Damn, good thing you were able to save your work. I’ve been working in bed for a few weeks now and i don’t wish to go back to my office room yet. I bought this laptop table that makes everything comfy for me while working in bed and i have my back rest against the headboard so all’s well for me.

@DesirousDreamer I guess that's a special one to consider then.

Some do, but this is an art program I am dealing with, and the autosave feature only happens every 15 minutes, so a lot of work can be done in 15 minutes and I have lost some work before.

I cannot stand the foolishness of placing the power button as a key in the keyboard which I have in my new laptop. Whoever's idea it is, this idea needs to change. Thankfully, a light touch in the power button puts the laptop to sleep instead of a shutdown.

I know many keyboards have a way to restart the computer, it is handy. But to have that button overlap another button, that is very silly.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The keyboard is programmed different from your built-in laptop keyboard.
