The work of two for one salary

Now, this is annoying...my election location was supposed to have two people working. I talked to the guy this morning, and he told me the other person quit...So, I said that since I was going to be working alone, I deserved more money. He told me there were back ups and I wouldn't be there alone, also said they could hire someone else if I knew anyone who wanted to do it, FYI< I recommended someone and they didn't want to hire them 
. Now, back ups are usually just around if someone doesn't show up to a location, or best case scenario they deliver materials. I don't think they are actually going to work. I asked about this, and got no answer..Well, I don't want to lose the job by being overly pushy, I guess I will wait and see what happens, if I am there alone, I will ask for more money at the end. Figures..

He got back to me about the back up and said in this case she will actually work, but that remains to be seen, if someone doesn't show up for their slot...they have to cover that place,,,so whether she will actually work with me remains to be seen. Honestly, I would guess not, but we will see.

Believe me, I will make my case if I end up working alone. Lets just hope it won't be busy. I noticed when I voted at the county building Saturday something like 2,000 something had already voted. that is a lot as this county isn't even that populous.

@RebeccasFarm I know. I am guessing no one is going to show up and if they do, they will just be dropping off materials.

Hopefully, they add another person so you aren't there alone. Getting paid more, even if you do more work, seems like an uphill battle.

I am used to working alone, but I was exctited about the idea of someone sharing the burden. They may must be expecting alot of the electorate to turn out, but I am not so sure. I voted early, and I noticed that alot of people had..perhaps 1/3 of elgible voters..so we will see.

Yes, that is why I will wait to see if anyone else actually does any work, if not I am going to ask for more. It is only fair for them to pay me more if I had to do the work of two.

That hardly sounds fair to me... if you do all the work! And, you can tell them that I said so ;)
