Our first 'dine in' this pandemic time.

I am on strict healthy diet but the other day, when I went to the lab for an arterial and venous duplex, the sonogram took so long that I really got hungry.
My daughter decided not to wait till we get home for our late lunch but instead suggested we eat at a Filipino restaurant called Max's.
There were not much diners and the restaurant observed the necessary protocol.
That's our meal for two in that picture. A small fried chicken, fresh lumpia, pancit canton, and dinner rolls.

I don't know what those are but the meal looks delicious.
I spent most of the day in the Emergency Room Tuesday. I had to have a CT scan, blood and urine tests done. By the time the ER doctors were done poking me and running tests, I was exhausted. As soon as we got home Pretty went in and started making something for us to eat. I fell asleep. She said I wouldn't wake up when she finished cooking so just put my part in the fridge.
I woke up the next morning and ate my supper for breakfast.
I hope all your tests came out well.

@Vree0937 My insurance didn't believe the tests were necessary so wouldn't authorize them. If the ER doctor believes the tests must be run, then the insurance has to pay for them.
They found that I have asthma, an enlarged spleen and either a kidney infection or bladder infection. They also said my kidneys aren't working at 100%...

@DaddyEvil insurance sucks!! My office nsurance also only cover 80% from max charge of my allowance. So i end up paying around 40%-90% of total bills by my own. Thats why i dont like go to doctor or hospital. It ruin all my savings #sigh
B careful for asthma and covid, they're like to attack each other. Should be no more soda and eat more fruit and veggies.

Very delicious. That's our default order in that restaurant. The only dish lacking is the spicy tofu.

@Nawsheen Nothing serious. Just damaged nerves that has been aggravated by lack of Vitamin B. Am taking the vitamins now and feeling better. I tended the garden already yesterday. Happy me!

The veins are all right. It's the arteries, I think, that is impeding the blood flow. Checking with a cardiologist on Thursday.
I really wish I could share all the wonderful food with everyone.

I love the lumpia. Of course I still prefer Max Fried Chicken than any other. I will still have rice lol.

Max is our favorite. I remember my cousins' wedding receptions celebrated with the luscious chicken the taste of which is beyond compare. My elder daughter also held her debut at Max. Come to think of it, we could have been Max's poster family. Ha ha.

@florelway Sad story for you. But Max has a lot of new recipes now, including Japanese dishes. It's Baliwag that I am scared of because even the pancit has bagnet.

@eileenleyva lol. Few years back we were talking with my cousins that we will not go to max anymore because our uncle had a heart attack while dining there. But you know Max is.max we even tried experimenting with recipe to come up to max taste
