My ankles are swollen. And I had night cramps.

I woke up with cramps and swollen ankles. Google did not help at all so I am drinking lots of water, had a strawberry smoothie instead of my usual coffee and made a sandwich of a mixture of Philadelphia and blue cheeses. Later on I will eat a couple of oranges. I do not have bananas at home although I know that is the best. I read that I could probably have a lack of water. So I will drink more than usual as it is warmer now. And the other cause is to be sitted for a long time. So I´ll mylot for a while, walk some and be in bed for a while too. Do you have such problems? What do you do when you have them?

Good things come slowly, bad things go slowly too.

Do you have pickles in juice at your house? If so, you can drink 45 ml of pickle juice (approximately 1.5 oz.) and the cramps are normally gone in less than two minutes. If you don't have dill pickle juice at home, I can give you the recipe to make it. I keep some stored in my fridge in case I have leg or arm cramps at night.

Sometimes my feet swell up when I'm retaining water. It's usually because I had too much salt. I do have water pills; but I usually just wait until my body gets rid of the excess. I hope your cramps and swollen ankles go away soon. If not, maybe you should see a doctor.

Googling simple cramps and swelling will bring up terrifying causes that's its better to avoid its advice altogether if someone is not savvy about medical science.

swollen ankle, rarely unless I did some misalignment move. Leg Cramps at night, happen many times. Especially if I drive too long on traffic jam ( I still use manual car), so it happen. What I do when cramps happen, then I will push thumb of cramps leg with other leg while lying straight on my bed. It works reduce and eliminate cramps eventually

My ankles tend to swell up when the weather gets really hot and humid. I drink a lot more water and iced tea and they stop swelling after a while. Right now with cooler weather, my ankles are fine I hope your ankles stop swelling soon,
