Poem - Those Who Resent The Voice Of The Ordinary Addressed to Elitist Snob, C / O Ivory Towers Waving your credentials like licensed Authority to wield super-powers, Getting easily needlessly incensed When those with less letters after our names Dare casually comment on that you deem your area of expertise Shooting mere mortals like me down in flames Like an Olympian God we’ve failed to please or appease Accusing us of being patronizing if we dare to join the discourse When we don’t have some obscure text book Languishing in dusty libraries of academia for students on your course To have to please Professor by being seen to look At his or her study that is too pricy for commercial sale Preventing the great unwashed masses from getting a read Pointing us away to the tabloid popular press in retail Outlets selling illustrated foot-note free guides in desperate need To keep the ‘real knowledge’ for the chosen few Showing bitter resentment when we dare to show That we might touch on something you hoped you alone knew. Despite our lower academic rank, we somehow came to know That which you wished to keep to yourself Only to find our thoughts right there beside yours on the bookshop shelf Or shared on Social Media for all to see Shining a light on the hidden hush-hush inner sanctums Making the wisdom more accessible and for free Oh the blasphemy when the code is broken by we urchins and bums. History and learning are not arcane alchemical secrets Worthy of Hogwarts but not fit for Muggles and the menial class Learning is something everyone gets or forgets Your monopoly needs breaking, you sad arrogant elitist ass. Hi@RebeccasFarm not too bad, though having to take things easy at present - hope everyone, yourself included, is ok here

Hello Arthur, it is so nice to see you back. Good poem. Unfortunately those people exist and we meet a few during our life.
