For those who are tend to keep a note of my daily arrivals and departures on Mylot (I wonder if any !! LOL) might have noticed my absence yesterday. So yesterday was the Diwali Day. The Day of the Festival of Lights. We had quiet celebrations with Prayers at home. Diyas (Earthern Lamps) and candles were lit. A few days back, one of my Danish Managers was asking me about this festival and I gave a detailed explanation, but had to stop as it would have taken too long. But there was a little climax. I was on leave on 3rd (The day before Diwali). Yet I got a call asking me to join work (remotely) as there was some crisis. I had to work for 4 to 5 hours and frankly such things take away a lot of joy!! Anyways that is life. Overall, good fun and I spend some time reading some different things as well.(Offline). So how are you folks doing?

I have heard that the air is so bad today because of the fireworks in your country.

@LadyDuck In Delhi and NCR yes. Yet I have not checked about other cities or states. At this time of the year, multiple factors: Festivals, starting of winters causing pollutants not to rise much, low wind speed coupled with Stubble burning after the Harvest; all these factors increase air pollution.

@LadyDuck Yes, rains do reduce pollution. Strong winds as well. However, we have little or no winds these days and that makes pollutants build up near the surface, even during the initial winters.

@LadyDuck Now, we are wearing warm clothes for more hours. Gradually it would start getting colder.

@snowy22315 Yes it was a fun time. However, there has been a big rise in the Air Pollution over the last few days.

@Rashnag Thankfully with remote working, I did not had to "go" to work but did had to spend time meant as a Break and Family Time at work. No doubt, my wife was very angry when this happened. Family time is so precious these days.
