Brockton Massachusetts resident Jayline Barbosa Brandao who is nine years of age is being praised by her relatives as a hero who used her knowledge of knowing what to do when there is a carbon monoxide attack in her home. The incident happened on Thursday evening when her parents went to bed. Her dad yelled for help since his wife Marcelina had passed out from the fumes of the generator that had been turned off and placed the machine inside the house for safekeeping after they used it briefly after it was placed outside since their home had lost electrical power for three days due to a storm. . Jayline managed to call 911 using her dad's cellphone to ask for help from the authorities even though he passed out from the fumes from the generator that was borrowed. Jayline took her younger sister who is seven years of age out of the home. Thanks to the assistance of the first responders, her parents are alive and well. The mistake that her parents made was to place the generator inside the home even though it was not plugged. They were lucky that their daughter saved them from a terrible fate.
