November 6 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today didn't go as planned, however, I'm doing my best to look past it and think about the good that came out of it.
I'm thankful I got the apartment cleaned this morning. The kitchen and bathroom are clean, the tree is up and lit, and I got the garbage down to the dumpster.
I'm thankful my best friend came to my housewarming. I hoped for a better turnout, but it didn't happen. We had a good time. I have lots of food leftover. I bought fruit and vegetable trays and a sausage and cheese tray. This morning I got Ritz, Veggie Straws, and brownies. I made hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks and put a package of mulling into it. We both decided not to mull it in the future. It was good but needed to be strained.
I'm thankful I'm working on Wilderness Call to take my mind off today. Though, as I said, my best friend showed up and we had a good time. I have a long ways to go to get today's quota.

Sorry the day didn't go as you hoped it would. I hate when that happens, which for me is often unfortunately. Glad you still had some good in your day. And yay for the tree being up !

That's good. Making the best out of a bad day.
zI'm thankful we didn't get the promised rain we were perdicted to have. We got to go out today, and while cold, it was a welcome change.

I'm thankful that I got to play music with my 80-year-old harmonica player buddy last night. I'm thankful that my friends' Kitty is doing better. I'm thankful that I should have time to work on my book today. And I'm thankful that I got my Martin D-18 guitar back from the fix-it place.

@kobesbuddy When I had the little tree in the other place on the entertainment center, the plug was situated in such a way that it made it impractical to put it away. So, I left it up and got used to it being up, and enjoyed the fiber optics year-round. I have it up again along with the new tree. I'm not taking either down.

I am thankful for all the prayer warriors who were available to immediately respond to my request for prayers for my baby brother (see my post "The Middle Child Called Me Today"). I am the family matriarch and am hundreds of miles away and unable to be with him at this time. But, If I could make it down there, I am the only one who does have the freedom to stay until visiting hours are over. So, in the meantime, I am doing the next best thing and spreading the word to send as many prayers his way as possible.
I received a call from my younger brother today. Our baby brother took himself to the emergency room yesterday, and they admitted him due to pneumonia and blood...
