10 Day Running Challenge Underway

I may post throughout the next 10 days about this challenge I'm taking part in. A group of co-workers are doing a 5K every day for 10 days to try to help motivate ourselves to be more consistent our exercise. I need this with my jogging - which really has only been 2-3 times per week and only for about a mile. I really haven't had much motivation to try to push myself harder. So, I am taking part in this 10 day running/5k challenge.
You can actually just run or walk the 5K each day - 3.1 miles total - and it can be cut up into different times throughout the day, does not have to be in one event (just has to be completed throughout the day).
My goal throughout this is to RUN at least 2.0 miles EACH day and hopefully ease into running the whole 3.1 miles straight. (That's a lot for me!)
Today, I ran 2.0 miles and walked 1.1 miles = 3.1 miles.
My problem with running is that I seem to back-pedal very quickly. IE, I don't run for a week - when I get back into it, it's super difficult!
At any rate, day 1 is over and done. I will continue on tomorrow, and hopefully by the end of the 10 days I will be able to run a 5k, straight through!
