Amazingly Elvis was actually a natural blonde until his late teens and even after when his hair began to go darker it wasn't naturally the shade we all know so well. It was usually dyed a shade of brown known as 'Mink Brown', but once when the King himself tried to do it, he opted to use black shoe polish.

@RasmaSandra Well, he was rather young at that time, I think. He really knew what he wanted. I had read that somewhere myself, before too. My grandmother wanted a girl, instead of a boy. She dressed my father in girly clothes, and kept his hair long. He hated it, and soon as he was old enough, he got the scissors of my grandfather, a tailor, and he cut all of his own long hair off. Kids already know what they want!
