The warmer weather is flying in for a couple of days. Also flying in is another song with “fly” in the title, a theme suggested by @JamesHxstatic. Thanks, James, I’m enjoying this! Here’s today’s no-brainer…I mean, song. #8: Learning to Fly - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers As I said, sometimes I just can’t be surprising. That doesn’t mean I won’t be. But anyway, I just had to include Mr. Petty and this terrific tune. No, I don’t like everything that Petty did, and some things I like a whole lot more than others (if I do a Petty top ten, do remember that “Louisiana Rain” is my favorite song by him…and one of my favorite songs, period). But overall, I think Petty had a pretty darn good track record in his recorded output. And he was good live, too! Rest In Peace, Tom.
