Another of my favourites is "The Girl I Knew Somewhere" by The Monkees a band that had a lot of good songs. The song was written by Mike Nesmith and performed by Micky Dolenz, The song did not appear on any of their albums until finally it was included in the album More Greatest Hits of the Monkees in 1982.

@DocAndersen this song often reminds me of myself because I was a different girl when I lived in Latvia, So it is both happy and sad for me,

@RasmaSandra i have many songs like that over the years. Neil Young (Old Man, Heart of Gold, Transformer, Needle and the damage done all touch a part of me that is hidden or buried()!

It’s amazing how much they could sound like the Beatles one second then absolutely nothing like them the next. Funny video. I remember when MTV played all the episodes of that show, calling it the TV series that gave birth to the music video. That’s so obvious in this clip.
