This is my second Autumn with Kitty. For now, she has found a new favorite spot for her late morning naps. On sunny (but cool) days, she likes to lie in the sun on my balcony. I keep the sliding door open for her. She has also returned to sleeping on her red blanket after her late night hunting excursions. That was her "place" when she first enslaved me, before she became a mostly inside cat. Do your cats change their favorite napping spots spots over time?

My dog does, either on the bed with me, then he jumps down, then on the sofa, then the floor, then back on the bed, and so on. Lol. Cute kit-cat.

As long as he's comfy. Fur friends deserve to be spoiled. They domesticated humans millennia ago.

@TheHorse I know a few horses. Mr. Ed, Silver, Trigger and so on. I'll ask them what they think.

I am not a cat person. I think the wiring of cats is strange. They take long naps, and said naps seem to exhaust them. They do change positions several times during a nap. That must be what does it. Should I get a new horse?

When I had my cat Sid, he had a few spots he never changed but there were times he decided on other places to sleep and it was hard finding him, Like the time in our house in Latvia no Sid and soon we wanted to go to bed, I opened the linen closet in the hallway and two eyes are looking at me, He had been in there sleeping and enjoying himself and if I did not need sheets we would not have found him,

Yep, I speak to Kitty in both Cat and English. I don't speak Hindi.

Yes, they like to change things up. I guess that they have to keep things interesting. Plus, there is likely a certain element of kitty politics here; there are a lot of negotiations between our two as to who gets to claim different spots and for what periods of time. They've got some strange timeshare agreement regarding sleeping on me. I don't know; I just work (to serve my feline overlords) here.

Yes, Gevi changes his napping spots time by time. Right now inside his warm cat house is his favorite spot.

My garden cat, Mr Hissy, has three cabins he can choose from, but his favourite daytime one is that which looks at the kitchen door and he can see when it is meal time!

We've always had dogs. They tend to sleep where it's cool.
