For Easter,Thanksgiving and Christmas, I prepare homemade Crock-Pot lasagna. I am not a turkey or ham person. While growing up, my family and I always had homemade spaghetti with homemade spaghetti sauce. So, at least I kept the pasta tradition. Yes?
I am going to simply preparing a bought box (pound) of lasagna noodles, Mid's meat sauce, ground beef, shredded mozzarella, cottage cheese and lots of salt, pepper and red hot pepper flakes.
The first thing my mother gave me when I moved away from home was a Crock-Pot. She must be thinking of me and hoping that I am eating. Love you mother!
One tradition I cannot prepare are my mother's raspberry squares and raspberry pies. Too difficult for me. So, I am preparing Potato Chip Clusters. A little sweet and a little salty.
Do you prepare pasta for the holidays? I would love to know! What dessert do you have?

I wonder if your potato chip clusters are the same as the candy @CarolDM makes? What's your recipe?

That sounds really good. It is always nice to have something different from the traditional. We already had Thanksgiving in Canada a month ago. We do have pasta over the Christmas holidays for one of the many meals and dessert will be coconut cream pie.

No pasta for the holidays here. We are not Italian. I do have an Italian aunt by marriage though, she used to make some of those specialities at Christmastime.

@snowy22315 I have never had ricotta pie. OK, I am a little prejudiced though. I am not a ricotta. I am a mozzarella and cottage cheese. I need to research the recipe. Maybe I could play with the ingredients? Thank you!

I have never had smoked salmon! I love salsa and chips! Do you buy the salmon already prepared?

We actually started doing lasagna for Christmas about 5 years ago - maybe. Before that we did roast beef i believe. But stopped being able to get it for Christmas so had to switch to something else. I like turkey, and smoked shoulder ham

I fixed lasgane a couple of times. Have to be careful not to run out of meat sauce. Turned out pretty good. Just want to let you know that the snap program is an excellent way to save money on groceries and help with grocery bills.

@Spontaneo no, millions use this program, and it is very popular!! That's money in your pocket. Look up the snap office in your area. You could get up to 300.00 just for yourself! That would be excellent!
