Hero cat story from Syracuse

Syracuse hero cat who woke up three residents during a house fire on Saturday

A cat whose gender and name were not mentioned is being called a hero for meowing to get the attention of three residents who were taking a nap inside their apartment on Saturday morning. Thanks to the meows of the cat, the three residents who were inside the apartment that has two floors managed to get out of the burning apartment in time as well as the cat. The fire began in the back door of the two story apartment building. The Syracuse Fire Department were able to put out the fire within 20 minutes since the fire was located on the first floor only. All of the residents of the two story apartment will have to live in temporary housing supplied by the Red Cross since the damage from the fire did do a lot of damage. One thing I have learned is to never underestimate a cat since they can play the roles of heroes just as good as a dog.

My cats might annoy me with their behaviors, but I'm thankful to them.

@Deepizzaguy Agreed. They sure love to cuddle, and my cats have even stopped me from getting up when I shouldn't.

The same feeling I have toward my cats. They are shy but make great friends.

Cats can be heroes too. It isn't just dogs that should get all the credit. Course the cat probably wanted to save himself, but we will give him credit too!

I agree with you since none of us should a cat due to their size but judge them when they save lives with their noise power.

You are right since there are many news reports of animals saving persons in house fires by getting their attention by making noises.

This is good to know that a cat can do this. They always did not seem to be able to be as smart as a dog. I am glad they meowed and the people got out in time
