Unusual Birthing of a Litter of Puppies!

Talk about Monday Blues, oh what a day it was yesterday when I woke up wee hours of the morning to prepare breakfast and packed lunch for my daughter, then drive her to the hospital at five, back home by seven, do yard work as in sweeping dust and leaves that have accumulated the past week, water the plants and trim the fruit bearing trees. It was almost ten am when I finally headed to the kitchen and was surprised to see my doggy on my couch, with a little dotty pup. I shrieked and shouted to my daughter upstairs that our bi-tch has given birth. Down the stairs came my daughter and excitement ensued. I took pictures right away to send my obstetrician of a daughter and told her she should have been home for the birthing. She named the pup Dots but asked why there is only one pup. I didn't know how to answer that though. But whitey one was born half hour after one. Then came a full dark knight with a white collar band sometime before three, and the youngest, another patchy black and white at around five.
Puppies are born within minutes of each other, I think, but I guess my royal bi-tch has a style of her own.
So now I officially have six dogs in my home.
The picture was taken a few minutes ago. It's a Day 2 snapshot.

Good thing I always cover the couch with old blankets. And my doggy had a different kind of birthing. Not too bloodied and the pups came hours apart.
This is a picture when I found her on my couch. It's her condition that I first thought of. Anyway, the old blankets had been washed and the couch sanitized with disinfectant and baking soda.
