I Am Stuffed!

The roommates and I ate and we ate and we ate and we ate! They had turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, dinner rolls, celery sticks with peanut butter, corn, deviled eggs, etc. Guess what I had? 2 huge servings of homemade Crock-Pot Lasagna, some corn and 2 dinner rolls. The only reason I ate the corn is because a roommate had one can of cream-style and one can of whole kernal. She opened up the cream-style thinking whole kernal then after realizing cream-style she said she was going to throw the cream-style away. Cream-style corn is perfectly good food. I was not about to let her throw away good food. Yes? I am thankful today for my loved ones far and near. I wish we could all be together. Thanks for putting up with me my fellow myLotters! It seems odd that anyone would believe creamed corn was not fit for eating, so I am glad you rescued the can.

@Spontaneo It reminds me of a story my son told about his old roommate. My son hates Ranch dressing, but I swear, his roommate would have poured it on ice cream. I kid you not. That boy liked Ranch on practically everything. Anyway, the roommate ran out and went to the store for more. Excited to watch the game and eat his chips, he pulled the brand new bottle out of the bag, opened it, poured some on his chips, took one bite, and realized he's accidentally picked up lite. So, instead of putting the lid back on and driving it back to the grocery store (or giving it to a neighbor), he threw out that entire bottle. And, my Ranch dressing-hating son pulled it right out and went off on him for wasting money when he is the one always complaining about a lack of it. That happened during the COVID lockdown when the roommate was still able to work, but my son had to wait for things to open up again.

Did my roommates' menu give you a belly ache or did my menu give you a belly ache?

You won't need to eat today now! However, it doesn't work like that, does it?

I'm thankful that others put up with me, especially my son&daughter. They are so kind and loving, in spite of my state of mind. We had roast turkey and all the trimmings(no rolls). It has been a quiet day, mainly watching football on TV(Jay) and writing an article(me).

I am just not a turkey person. But, I did devour the lasagna! I used 2 bags of mozzarella and a whole container of cottage cheese to make extra cheesy!
