A young lady who saved the life of a baby honored by the police in Ohio

Ladonya Williams was at the right place at the right time three months ago when she was and her father Donny Williams who is a detective in Akron Ohio witnessed a car accident when the couple were coming home after visiting a relative. Ladonya who is 20 years of age has studied first aid since she was 18 years of age when she worked as a student took action when a car crashed into another vehicle on the road on the evening hours of August 22. The driver of the auto that crashed into the other auto was driving her auto to the local hospital in Akron after her seven month old girl had stopped breathing. Ladonya then used her first aid skills to assist the seven month old girl breathe again where she was successful to revive the baby who then was taken to a local hospital where she made a recovery. The child of the seven month old baby girl was cited for reckless driving. I am sure that the mom was just doing what she could to save her child from dying even though she will be second guessed by others by not calling 911 even though it is not clear if her child stopped breathing inside of her car or at home. What is amazing is that Ladonya has poise under pressure dealing with using her first aid skills to save the life of a child. The Akron Police Department rewarded Ladonya with a civilian commendation on Wednesday. The best part is that Ladonya is remaining humble despite people calling her a hero for saving the life of a baby. Ladonya claims she just doing her job to save lives. Cool with me.
