He once said, “History, faith, and reason show the way, the way of unity, we can see each other not as adversaries but as neighbors. We can treat each other with dignity and respect. We can join forces, stop the shouting, and lower the temperature.” Yet he does nothing to follow those words. Instead, he continues to divide this country. On day one he reversed actions to stem illegal immigration, canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and ended the 1776 Commission. In March he signed a $1.9 Trillion Covid relief bill. He also referred to a Georgia election reform bill as “Jim Crow on steroids”. I’m sure that was to unify us all. He should have known that effectively having an open boarder puts us all at risk, it puts those at risk who make the journey with the help of cartels and allows more drugs to cross the border. I’m sure that was to help bring our country together. Instead of letting our local governments who are more in touch with the local people, make laws, he would rather have big government which is never a good thing. He instead he orders and mandates things that hurt more of use then it helps. He prints money like nothing and tells us how inflation is a good thing. He tells us how we can get this and that for free and some people just aren’t smart enough to realize that it will cost us in the end. Somehow some way someone must pay for that free stuff. Thanks Joe Let’s go Brandon

Makes me wonder who really is in charge. Because those things hurt, not help even if made with the best intentions.

Sure hope I'm wrong, but I fear that our best days of being American are over. Especially if we continue to reject and disobey God who has blessed us so much.

Sadly, I think we are going in the wrong direction and not sure we can turn this train wreck around.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but let's not lose sight of the fact that Trump didn't exactly do things to unify the country either. Our leaders have lost their way. They are completely under the control of the extremists on both the liberal left and conservative right. There are no moderates or centrists to lead us anymore, despite the fact that 80% of the people fall somewhere near the middle of the political spectrum. Everything is about polarization these days.

You are not wrong, I'm don't think Trump united us either but I think we were doing better then than we are now as far as life in general. I think we are heading down a very dark hole right now.

@CarolDM I hate to say it but I have been saying this for many years. Is there a "super power" country that has not eventually fallen?

There are promises made to be broken. Personal interest and popularity matter for those who are strong and powerful.
