Abby Wuthrich who is the mother of 2 year old girl Edel who is a cancer survivor is grateful that a hospital in Salt Lake City Utah referred them to a hospital in New York that has the medical technology to cure Edel from a cancer that affected one of her eyes when she was four months old.
Primary Children's Hospital in New York City were able to use chemotherapy to cure the cancer that was in Edel's eye during checkups every few weeks.
Thanks to the treatment that did cure the cancer in Edel's eye, the Wuthrich family only has to travel to New York City every 16 weeks.
The founder of Resilience Gives approach the Wuthrich family to make a donation of nonslip socks to children's hospitals nationwide.
The Wuthrich family agreed to honor the request to donate the socks to children's hospitals nationwide which they have donated 400 socks to the Primary Children's Hospital recently which is their way of thanking them for curing their daughter of her cancer in her eye.

I agree with you that when a child is stricken with an illness, it is heartbreaking to the parents of the child.
