What are the two things I admire most in my spouse? One would definitely be that no matter how annoyed or mad he gets at his parents, he will always help them out if they need him to. Second is how much he loves his pets, and cares for most animals in general.

Meh kinda. He mostly does the first because he feels he has to as their son. Which he does not. And shouldn't.

@FayeHazel understandable! And you aren't wrong. That's why when everyone was saying it makes him a good guy I was just sitting here like.. meh, not really. Lol. Cuz it'd be better if he did it cause he wanted to more so than felt he had to

@Courtlynn Hm... I still know lots of people who don't help their folks even out of obligation... it's a tricky thing... sometimes we don't *owe* it to anyone, family or not. And sometimes we do things because we really do want to help, but it's a slippery slope as to how much you help, and how much you don't. People become reliant, and it's important to save some energy for yourself and your own life.... Sorry. Waxing philosophical. I think about this topic a lot though due to my own situations

I'm glad that even though they drive him nuts sometimes, he understands and values the importance of family. And caring for animals is a bonus.

@Courtlynn Oh, I see. But he'd still do things for his family if they were in need, so that still says something about him. Most of my family drives me absolutely nuts, so I try to avoid them like the plague. I do have a few favorites that I would do anything for, but many other of my family members I really don't care too much for.

He doesn't though. As his only family is his parents. He hates literally everybody else and wants nothing to do with them, on either side.
