When you were young, did you think about your retirement every day?

Next year I will be 34 years old, and I will not retire until I am 21 to 55 years old. Is it strange for a person who is so young to look forward to retirement? Did you want to retire every day when you were young?

I never thought about it at all until Covid came along and I had to retire. I loved my job and retirement was never a consideration

Well, how much young? I guess it makes sense to think of retirement when you start working; at least here, if you work on a regular job, some of the taxes go to the national retirement fund. Unfortunately not many young people have such jobs, so they don't really think of retirement. Then add the general pessimism, not many people actually think about the future. Yet I think many people, even the young, wish to never have to work for the rest of their lives. They don't think of that exact word, "retirement", but it's about the same thing.

I never thought to retirement. You are lucky to retire so young, here retirement age is 67 years.

Retirement never crossed my mind as a kid/younger adult. Still doesn't.
