Well, the news is that the Indian tour to South Africa is on as of now. The tour is now a truncated one. No T 20s in the tour. The Tour starts a few days later, with the 1st test being the Boxing Day Test 26 December. So one can watch India vs SA or The Ashes : England vs Australia contest on 26th December.
