Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Today, 10th December is also celebrated as "Nobel Prize Day". It recognises annual year award established by Alfred Nobel. Each year, on 10th December, a ceremony is held in Stockholm, Sweden on the Anniversary of Alfred Nobel's Death. The winners receive Nobel Diploma, a medal and 10 million Swedish Crowns per prize. Each prize is given in field of Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature and Peace. At the age of 17, Swedish Alfred Nobel use to speak five languages fluently and became the businessman establishing 87 companies across the world. On 10th December, 1896 he died and left an enormous fortune in his will to establish prizes to award those who had done their best to benefit Humankind. In 1901, the Nobel Committee awarded the first prizes five years after Nobel's Death as his family members were against the implementation of his will. Since then every year, Nobel Prize are awarded in different fields to people who have made significant impact in the society and for people at large. Hope you find this information interesting.
