My grandchildren make me think. They are quick to point out when my actions don't match with my words. Today is one of the those confusing day. My grandson said if God is in charge then those bad things have to happen for a reason. I quietly left the room and went to my room to cry. It's way too much to explain all the different beliefs there are in this world.

I have the same questions he does. Sorry I have no answers. Sometimes it is ok not to know.

I don't know that we will ever understand the reasons. It might just be too much for us to understand.

Well, he is right, I believe it is in the Bible that God also sent punishments, I am wrong? The wrath of God and the Vengeance is mine are not inventions

God doesn't create painful situations to teach you a lesson. He loves you! Pray that he will show you your own errors, then repent each day. You belong to the Lord, other people don't understand the relationship that you share.

We're all glad I'm sure to see you here. Bad things don't necessarily happen for a reason...they just happen. I don't envy you for having to explain this to your grandson. To me it's just another challenge that we have to face in our lives.

Well, I am still on the planet. I make it to work most days. Currently that is my life. I simply try and make it to work. I don't have much to do with any family. My sister calls at about once a month. I guess she wants to know if I am still here. I did pay off the house, I guess that should give me some comfort. It hasn't so far, but it should. I am pretty much just existing. Hadn't been writing or reading much. I guess the best word to describe is vacant. I typically just try and take care of the dang cat the my brother had and keep to myself. Christmas used to be a magical time and well, now it just brings more tears. I keep thinking that someday I will stop crying, but reality hits and I just cry. It seems useless to stick around for such deep sadness. I still crochet those dumb blankets, but there is no to give them to. They are just stacked up. I hope you are enjoying the holidays and family is well. Thanks for thinking of me. I appreciate that. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season to you and everyone who takes the time to read it.

He's not entirely wrong, and it's his right to believe what he wants. Bad things need to be allowed to happen, reguardless if a higher power "allows " it.

According to many ministers who are no longer with us, they have stated that if God intervened in our lives by preventing accidents of any kind like Superman or any of his relatives, we would tell Him that He is a Person that should mind His own business. According to the late minister Garner Ted Armstrong he mentioned that we all are living a spiritual boot camp.
