Good evening,
I totally forgot to tell you about the Blackhawks game from the other night. Thursday they won 2-0 and it was more than just a win. Their goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury, won his 500th game in his career. He is only the 3rd goalie in NHL history to reach that number. Pretty impressive, not to mention that was his 69th shutout in his career.
That was a great night to watch the game and see that piece of history being made. The crowd in Montreal gave him a standing ovation, very nice of the away team to recognize that for him.
I can not say as much for the game tonight. They did well but a bad bounce lost them the game. So they were down 4-1 but worked their way back and tied up the game. With about a minute and 40 seconds left in the game the opposing team shot the puck into the zone and it bounced off the wall and right in front of the goal where they had a man who just shot it in. The way it bounced happens very rarely and many times ends up as a goal, just like it did this time.
The Hawks could not score in the last minute and a half and ended up losing the game.

Getting 500 wins as a goalkeeper in the National Hockey League is an amazing feat.

@Bensen32 I am sure that when Marc-Andre retires in a few years, he will be a first ballot NHL Hall Of Fame Inductee.
