We Finally Went on a Cruise

I wrote in November about how we missed a cruise in early November due to an issue with our plane.
My husband and I were both SO depressed, so I decided to find the earliest next cruise we could go on. And that ended up being a 10 day Caribbean cruise from 11/10 - 11/20 on the Enchanted Princess, part of the Princess Cruise Line.
After we booked it, we were holding our breath that it wouldn't get canceled due to Covid issues. It was a glorious day when we sailed away from Fort Lauderdale Florida for the cruise.
We relaxed, explored 4 new islands we had never been to (St. Lucia, Antiqua, St. Kitts, and Dominica).
It was a wonderful experience to be back on a cruise ship, in spite of having to wear masks and take precautions. It was an experience we are so grateful for and will always remember.
Are you ready to go back on a cruise?

What cruise line will you go on? I am so happy we got to go. We were afraid cruising might become a thing of the past due to Covid.

@wolfgirl569 Thanks. So are we. It was so depressing when we missed the first cruise. I think this one was actually better though because although it was shorter, it went to 4 places we had never been to before.

Good for you. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
At this time no. Just a lot of unknown with the new variant. Looking forward to travelling soon though.

@Kouponkaren that's not what I read. I could be wrong though.

@allen0187 I think that the new variant is supposed to be pretty tame though isn't it? So far so good for us. We have been back for 12 days....so I think we are safe from getting Covid from the cruise.

@Kouponkaren I would be worried about getting somewhere and not being able to get home. And we're mid-70s now so our travelling days are starting to decrease.

@JudyEv Really? Why not? Is it because Covid? This cruise just cemented how much we love to cruise and I hope to never have to stop.

I'm glad you were finally able to do it. I have been on three cruises in the past. Maybe I will take another one.
