New Faces in Sequel Series

I was watching a movie, which was said to be Sequel to old movie. But the old characters were replaced with new faces. I can understand so many factors comes into picture when they want to cast it. But looks like the way series was casted, I didn't like the new faces. There was no cover story. I did read the reviews and over all they give good response. But I couldn't digest the new face. Do you like to see new faces in sequel series/ movies instead of old character where old faces did a great job? And what's the reason for you to watch the Sequel/Part 2 ?

I watch animes mostly, and sometimes in the new season, they draw the characters kind of differently. I can't eveb digest that !!

I like to see the original characters. If I really liked the original, I will watch the sequels.

If I watch a sequel, I prefer to see the original characters in it but a lot of the time, if the original show was popular, then the original characters want too much money for the movie companies to be able to produce the following shows.

I prefer to see the original cast members of a sequel instead of new faces since the old faces of the original show are like relatives to us.
