"Carol of the Bells" is based on a 1914 Ukranian bell carol. It has been performed in many genres; and there have been several variants of the lyrics including the current song with Christmas references.
It has been covered many, many times. One of the more notable efforts is the 1946 version by the Robert Shaw Chorale seen below:

I have heard about this song but not one of my favorites, Among my favorite Christmas songs is Away In the Manger I have a rather large Christmas song reportoir since I have favorite songs in English and Latvian
