TriMet bus driver Leopoldo Morelos is one person that showed compassion for an eight year old girl named Cristal who was seen wandering in the Forest Grove Transit Center a few days ago by herself. Cristal claimed to Leopoldo that she was supposed to be in dance class. Instead she wound up in the bus station due to an error on her part since she was alone instead of being with a parent or adult to guide her. Leopoldo then had Cristal get inside of his bus to get warm while he called his boss to report what happened. Leopoldo's boss then called the local police to inform them what happened at the bus terminal. The local police officers came to the bus terminal to pick up Cristal to reunite her with her mother Liliana Campuzano, Leopoldo who gained the trust of the child asked her what she wanted for Christmas. Leopoldo on Friday then went to the home of the Campuzano family to give Cristal a mini TriMet size "Sleigh" on Friday. Liliana is happy to learn that Leopoldo took care of her daughter during her ordeal at the bus stop on an evening of rain. Bus drivers can be heroes as well in our world.

I’m surprised the mother let the little girl go off by herself.

That is what I am wondering why would Liliana allow her child to be by herself that evening.

@Deepizzaguy The mother seems to be careless about her daughter.

That's the best thing a man can do for a child.

Most likely what happened since she did admit being confused on where to go to dance lessons.

An 8-year-old should not be wandering around by herself. I'm glad Leopoldo took care of the situation.

I agree with you since eight year old children are not ready to handle being responsible at that age

When I was a child, I had the best school bus drivers. I lived out on a back road and was one of the first to be picked up. I had to ride the bus for almost 2 hours. My back road was always the last to be taken care of during the winter. The school bus drivers got we kids to school in snow, ice and rain. The school bus drivers knew how to discipline the bad kids too.
