Themed Christmas Gifts

There seemed to be a certain theme going on with my Christmas gifts.
First, yeah, my girls really spoiled me. They bought me new bathmats for my bathroom with a hint that the bathroom needs repainting, which I have already been saying for over a year. Wish someone would get on that. Also got a new digital scale and what looks like a huge cabinet for our powder room (maybe too huge).
But the real theme indicates to me that my family wants me to start cooking more often. That picture above shows my new toaster oven (and supposedly air fryer), new pots and pans, new cooking utensils, and a pizza cutter (stocking stuffer).
Not only does it look like they want this fibromom to cook more, it means doing some cleaning out and getting rid of stuff. Don't know where. We already have boxes of stuff to donate downstairs but no place to donate. It seems wasteful to throw the stuff out when someone could use them. Before Christmas the girls went through a cupboard and got rid of a bunch of water bottles. Not sure what they did with them... probably threw them in the recycle bin. It just doesn't seem right when there are people who would be happy to have the stuff. One man's junk is another man's treasure, right?
Anyway, I was overwhelmed with all the gifts... big gifts. They totally spoiled me. I went so light on my gift giving this year.
Pretty ironic for a bunch of people who want to ship me off to a different province leaving my home behind. Do they expect me to leave all these things in the house for them?

Nope. I am utterly exhausted from making a full ham and turkey dinner Christmas Eve. No one helped me prepare. No one helped me clean up. I can only hope that they like the stuff enough to want to wash them themselves.
I'm dreaming.

@patgalca I'm sorry, I cannot begin to explain why they would gift you these items. You should ask them.
When I put on a meal our son and my hubby always clear the table, load the dishwasher and hand wash the large items like pots and pans and roasters.

@Juliaacv You know my husband usually does help clean up after dinner but he ate too much and passed out. My younger daughter helped a little before she had to rush off to volunteer at church (put leftovers away). When she got home she helped a bit more, which wasn't much by then as I had done it all. I think she dried some dishes I had washed.
The toaster oven we have is a disaster. They don't use trays and stuff drips and burns on the bottom. And I'm the one that ends out scrubbing it with an SOS pad. The cheaper frying pans I have loses it's coating quickly and they're all scratched up. I had a large soup/stew pot on my wish list as I only have one.
When I asked what the heck they were doing buying all this stuff my oldest daughter just said, "Deals."

He** no!
Honestly, I never know what to cook, who will be home for dinner, whether I have the energy to do so. Cooking Christmas Eve dinner wiped me out. And I cooked another meal on Tuesday. There's others in this house that can cook. Why should I do it all?

@JudyEv My younger daughter is home today. She took some meat out so seems like she has a plan.
Last night I was alone, had some leftovers. Then my husband, my older daughter and her fiance showed up and decided to get fast food. smh. Always with the fast food if I don't cook anything.

I usually take things over to the Salvation Army store on a Sunday when they are closed but it's not good weather to leave stuff out. St. Vincent de Paul does Bundle Sundays at our church twice a year but they only taking clothing, bedding, curtains. I'm not driving to another town to get to a Value Village or Good Will. It's not women's shelter type of stuff. More like stuff refugees or people just starting a new life could use.

My husband is originally from Prince Edward Island. He says he has been in Ontario long enough and wants to move back to his family and their home (which we bought and are renting out). I don't want to leave this house or my kids. I moved 13 times in my adult life. When we bought this house 25 years ago it was to be our forever home. We never talked or considered retirement.
