Today is the day I start my 3-week reset diet that I wrote about yesterday. I need to lose 12 pounds to get to my healthy weight and have been stuck on a plateau for the past year.
My starting weight is 157.8 (I shouldn't have had that scone last night as my last hurrah before bed!)
I am going to do an update every day and you can all join me in this journey. I am NOT expecting to lose 12 pounds during these 3 weeks. Whether or not I can even stay the course with this diet for 3 weeks remains to be seen.
I am hoping to jumpstart my weight loss again so I can start losing again.
Are you hoping to lose weight this year?

@Kouponkaren I hurt my back a few years ago, and my chiropractor suggested I return to yoga. It helps with flexibility. Do only what feels comfortable.

@DuanneN I have been thinking about doing yoga, Walking was helping but no I have a bursitis flare up and am supposed to rest my hip, so that's out for a while. I would have to try yoga for people with a sore hip!

@DianneN Oh gish, sorry about your back. I need to look up a yoga video online that is for people with sore hips. Don't know if there is such a thing but I will do a little research and find out! Do you lose weight from doing yoga?

@RubyHawk I am going to try that, plus I am staying away from carbs and sugar. That will be a real challenge for me. I love sugary sweets, and bred, especially bread for sandwiches. Oh well, right now it's only temporary.

@RubyHawk That is good for the long term. Right now I just need something to jumpstart my body into the losing mode again. And then one pound a week would be fine.

@marlina I wish I didn't have to lose weight. But the ultimate goal is to get to the point where I am at a healthy weight and then I can just maintain that weight for the rest of my life. That is my goal.

@JudyEv I hear less calories, more exercise and lots of water is a good start. But I am stuck at a certain weight and I can't get off this plateau. I am hoping this plan will shake things up a bit.

@Kouponkaren I'm much the same. I can stay at a certain weight but to try to go below that is very difficult.

@freelancermariagrace Thank you. I am hopeful. I am pretty close to where I want to be, BUT not there yet and that is frustrating for me.

I do try, but I figure if I lose, I lose, if not oh well. I need to really eat more if I'm being honest. Though I'm sure I've lost some, but I've also been trying to build muscle tone so I'm going to seem heavier as a result.

@xstitcher I used to weigh 175 but I am only 5.4 so that was too heavy. I lost 20 pounds but then hit a plateau. That's what I need to get off of right now.

@sarik1 Thank you. I need it. I hate diets. But something has to shake me out of this funk I have been in for 1 year where I can't drop any more weight.
