What makes you fall asleep?

I must admit it is very hard for me to fall asleep without watching something on Youtube. And there are specific programs that really lull me: Deadly Women and Slapped Ham. My sister listens to music when she goes to bed. So even if she works on a night shift, she has no trouble sleeping at daytime. what about you?

I watch SciShow or something like it until I doze off... I wouldn't be able to sleep if I watched anything scary. I'd have nightmares if I did fall asleep.

@Janet357 Your mind was living the story as you slept. I've seen people have muscle twitches like they were rowing a boat when they were listening to a fishing video as they slept. It was really funny! When they woke up they claimed they were exhausted... I'd have been exhausted, too, if I'd been paddling a canoe or johnboat around all night.

I have no problem falling asleep at night. I'm very tired at bedtime, it's simple to get rest.

@Janet357 If I drink caffeine in the afternoon, it interrupts my sleep.

I just wait until I fall into bed completely exhausted. Then I only sleep for a max four hours. I occasionally take a sleep aid but I don't want to make that a habit.

4 hours? Wow, very short. But if your body is used to it, you will still feel energetic.
