Those of us who remember the early James Bond movies that starred the late Sean Connery who drove in an Ashton Martin DB5 auto probably did not know that the famed auto that was stolen under mysterious circumstances at a Boca Raton airport hangar in 1997.
Fast forward 25 years later a group known as the Art Recovery International which specializes in finding lost luxury items found the iconic auto thanks to a mystery person who found the auto through the serial number in an undisclosed location which is likely in the Middle East.
Christopher Marinello who is the chief executive of the Art Recovery International is hoping that the person who possesses the iconic auto will return it to the ARI as soon as possible since Christopher believes that the person who is in possession of the auto did not know that the auto was stolen in 1997.
American businessman Anthony Pugliese bought the auto from Sotheby New York auction at a price of $275,000 dollars in 1986.
However since the stolen auto was insured. Anthony received $4.2 million dollars from the insurance company. He offered a $100,000 dollar reward for the safe return of his auto.
As a fan of the early Bond movies, I did not know that the auto that was used in the Bond movies like "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball" was stolen and not found until this year.

It is shocking to learn that an auto that was used in the early James Bond movies was stolen 25 years ago.

Sounds like another mystery that 007 can solve.

That is what I am thinking since a lot of movie plots are based on real life stories.

I wonder if the person who now owns the car will give it back.

@Deepizzaguy I wouldn´t. But then, I have no money to even buy a toy car now.

@marguicha Same here since the family auto is pretty old.

I hope the car is returned...but I doubt that it will be.

That is true since the person who owns the auto is not likely to return the stolen auto for fear of being charged with a crime.

A lot of motion pictures are loosely based on real life events.

I guess some people like iconic autos that are not in circulation today.
