Recovery is not easy...

Still recovering from my ordeal (DKA, hospitalization, etc). I am a lot better, but still not 100% well. I know I couldn't go for a walk, do a work out, etc... and I do things slower at the moment. I'll update when I am back to normal. I see my regular doctor tomorrow to see if he wants me on insulin, or what that will be. I gained a lot of fluid weight while in the hospital, of course I was on all these IV's all those days, some of which were sugar water. My A1c when they checked it at the hospital was 12.1, yikes.... Yeah, I think insulin is the next step. Anyways, just wanted to share a little update on how I am doing the next day after getting out of the hospital.

it will take a while for your body to stabilize. that is a really serious condition (DKA)

DKA can be life threatening so I know how serious it is for sure. Plus now I will need to be on insulin, possibly a pump

You're not going to be your best, just getting out of the hospital. No, far from it. It takes time to recover and you need to allow yourself that.
