Greg Kozlick went shopping for some electronics at a thrift store in Downer's Grove last summer when Greg found a wireless router box that had old photos inside the box.
After Greg bought the box that had the old photos inside, he purchased a projector to see what was in the pictures that were in the form of slides that were the wedding of a couple from the 1960s.
Greg then used the power of social media to try to locate the owner of the slides. Greg found out that the owner of the slides belonged to a high school friend who recognized the wedding pictures of her grandparents who are now deceased.
Sue Brose who lives in Lombard is happy that Greg was nice enough to find the pictures of her late father's trips with her and other family events in her earlier life.
What makes this story even sweeter is that Sue will have the pictures that were in the slides on digital so she can remember the good times she had with her late father when she was younger.
Greg is one very sweet person who used the power of Facebook to give back Sue the slides of her younger days.

I agree with you that Greg has a heart of compassion contacting the owner of the family pictures and then return them to the owner who is very grateful to get them back.

That's a wonderful story. and to think that it was his high school friend. Having the pics on digital form would retain those poignant memories of his friends childhoon.
I, too, found my best friend in highschool and my fave teacher in highschool, and yes, my first love on Fadebook. They were beautiful reunions that have made us connected up to now.

I agree that social media gets a bad image from journalists who report that many celebrities are afraid to say what is on their mind for fear of offending the Twitter mob.

Just a month ago, my mom found a bag with IDs and other stuff in the less traveled alley leading to our house. She managed to return the items through the local authorities. The owner is a victim of estafa and blackmailing, and that the items were stolen only a day before. It turns out that she is a not-so-distant relative they mutually discovered only through discussions.
