Hello, Maybe it's tot the best place to talk about this but I am pretty upset about the situation and could use some share of opinins. I watch the news about Djokovic and I find nothing good in them. I agree that he lied about about his situation but it's not like they gave him much choice since he has a different opinion than the majority. Now, they are all againt him, like he has done a real crime, not like is the best tennis player in the world. Australian Open shoul be about tennis and freedom of choice should not be banned. Am I that wrong? Is he that wrong?

If they make an exception because "he is famous", normal people with a same situation will immediately point the figer and scream about discrimination, that would be the case.

@Luli_hope - If the documents are fake and he confirmed that he lied, I see no reasons why justice should not do its job.

@LadyDuck Documents were good enough to receive his visa and be invited at AO. If something was wrong they shoudn't allow him to get into the plain. Yes, that 14 days travel declaration si wrong but that is not a condition for the visa or a reason to cancel it. You can't let him come, invite him, then cancel the visa, then give it back, cancel it again...all this fight is just wrong.

They allowed him to come based on some documents (true or false) and then change they decision exactely because he is famos. I am sure he is not the only one with some issues regardig this conditions (see Nadal's case). But it seams like they needed someone to piont the finger at...

He was not wrong, as much as they want others to show that he was wrong!

He did some mistakes according to the new (bat) rules. He shoud have been flawless to stand a chance agains them. But it's exatly my point, it'n nothing about tennis in there as it is about hounting his mistakes to set an example of him...

@Luli_hope Yes, a negative example of not creating a precedent!

@soymex Maybe bat it has gone too far. You can't just ignore everything he has done in tennis and turn it into hate...

When you are famous... Even small actions are shown as if he did a crime. If you believe in him and you know him well news shouldn't impact you. I don't follow much in tennis ... But I have seen him play in few highlights

I am not the biggest fan but I like tennis and I apreciate what he has achived in this sport. For sure my opinion about him will not change but I feel sad for him with all thise hate and anger against him. He does not deserve it.
