not willing to spend

I once told to my friend I wanted a customized gold necklace. he told me, yes, just tell me when. this month, all of us know what has happened. Most of my clients or students got sick and so did my tutors. So, I don't want to spend on something not needed. I don't want to touch my bank savings either. I think I will just politely tell him that we shall put it off as the situation is still not improving. maybe after 2 months? what would you do if you were in my situation?

I would wait and not use savings. Hopefully things will improve and you can get the necklace later on

You just have to tell him not yet. You can treat yourself when things improve - something to look forward to.

Thank you. The best advice so far. This is what I will tell him because saving is my priority. And thanks for the encouragement.

Although I believe that some luxury is important, I also know about the importance of a nest egg. We all need to have some savings just in case. Only then we can buy jewelry and the like.

You are very right. Jewelry's value increases unlike cars and gadgets.
