A little Blackhawks news for you all. As some of you may know I only watch hockey and no other sport, and my favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks. I have been watching and a fan since I can remember.
This week the National Hockey League announced the players who made the All-Star team and even though the Blackhawks have been having a terrible season there is one player who made the All-Star team. Alex DeBrincat has been named to the team.
Alex is ranked 4th in the league in goals with 23 so far this season and adds 6 assists. Oddly enough he will not be there with teammate Patrick Kane who did not get selected this year ending his streak of 9 seasons in a row.
Congratulations Alex on making the All-Star team, his first in his 5-year career.
The Blackhawks won in overtime last night on an odd goal. First, they reviewed to see if the puck did go into the goal, which they said it did. I didn’t see it go in and from the video that I seen I didn’t think it was a goal. Then once they said it was, they then reviewed the video to see if the play was offsides or not which they said it was not so the goal was good and they won.
I mean hey I will gladly take the win, but I thought it would have been overturned. So, they won 3-2 over the Montreal Canadians.
Their next game is on January 17th in Seattle, Washington.

In my opinion ice hockey is the toughest sport to play besides American football, basketball and baseball in that order.

@Deepizzaguy I would have played back in the day if I would have been a better ice skater.

One of my favorite players, Yanni Gourde, was selected by Seattle in the expansion draft and taken from the Lightning. I tried to buy tickets to go see the game between Seattle and Tampa Bay, but it had sold out in a matter of minutes. The Lightning did a really nice tribute to Gourde at the game, and it was pretty cool to see (I ended up watching it on tv).
Congrats on your team's win against the Canadiens.
We had two players selected to the All-Star team.
