Today, after a long time, I decided to make stuffed peppers . So , I had peppers , I had meat, all I had to do was make them. My wife, before putting the meat in the pepper, puts it in a pot of boiled water for 5 minutes, so it softens and cooks faster in the oven ! We are waiting for my brother to come to us and we can set the table ! Do you usually eat at home, or do you frequent the restaurant? photo by ovidiu

@soymex That saves us money. Going to restaurants can be costly sometimes but you can go on weekends or once in a while if you plan your budget

@mildredtabitha Correct. Savings must be made from small things, little by little ...

Thanks! I also rarely go out to restaurants. Okay, when there's something organized ... don't put it on!

I love stuffed peppers and that's a good idea to boil them a little first. I'll have to try that next time we're having stuffed peppers. Tonight we're just having burgers. Simple and easy. Rarely do we eat at restaurants but we do pick up a pizza fairly often.

Yes, we also order various food at the restaurant, but it's still better at home!

I have not try stuffed peppers before. Here, we have stuffed red chilis, but it's too spicy/hot for me. I usually stuffed eggplants, bitter gourd, and tofu. While saying this, I miss my mom's stuffed food. I haven't make them myself before. With three young kids, I prefer to eat at home, though I can only cook simple food.

@soymex Yes, but I am afraid my kids might not remember my food but they might prefer their grandmothers'.

The best food is, as you prepare it, at home!

That looks really delicious. I usually eat at home as it is less expensive :)

I didn't know the boiled water trick, but I'm not the one cooking most of the time anyway. I usually eat at home, I sometimes go to the restaurant and I'm usually not the one paying the bill, so I don't mind going there.
